Pharmaceutical Company's Eye Drop Anime Gets More Episodes
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Japanese company Santen Pharmaceuticals added more episodes to its Eyedrops online anime short series. The company is producing the shorts to teach people about how the human eye works, and how Eyedrops can help maintain it. Of course, they've judged that the easiest way to make this understandable is by using anthropomorphized anime versions of eyedrop active ingredients.
The anime's prologue and first episode debuted in September. The company has now added episodes two through four with a theme song by popular Vocaloid producer DECO*27 titled, "Me ga Mega Suction."
The story follows 10 girls named after ingredients found in eye drops. Together, they struggle to protect the health of planet EYE.
The cast includes:
Yōko Hikasa as Neostigmine Methylsulfate
