Known for his work with some of K-pop's biggest artists, including BTS member SUGA and his alter ego Agust D, IU, PSY, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ENHYPEN and ZEROBASEONE, EL CAPITXN has built a reputation as one of Korea's leading hitmakers. The collaboration came about after Centimillimental was introduced to the producer through a mutual connection. Inspired by EL CAPITXN's genre-spanning musicality and production expertise, he proposed a collaboration that would eventually become “CO-WRITE.”

The song captures the irreplaceable moments shared between people, where everyday words and emotions gradually intertwine and grow into something more. Driven by a catchy guitar riff and an emotionally resonant melody, “CO-WRITE” gently embraces the joys and sorrows that shape meaningful human connections.

The track also reflects the story behind its own creation. For Centimillimental, who has spent much of his career creating music by himself, the collaboration represented a significant personal challenge.

"For most of my life, music was something I created alone," says Centimillimental. "Meeting EL CAPITXN felt like an opportunity to discover new possibilities for myself as an artist. During the production process, there were moments when our ideas completely clashed. But by communicating honestly and aligning our vision, we found a way forward together."

Those creative differences ultimately became one of the defining elements of the project itself. Rather than dividing the artists, the tension helped shape a deeper and more authentic expression of the song's message.

"Our artistic visions sometimes collided, but it wasn't a conflict that divided us," recalls EL CAPITXN. "It was a creative tension that helped us express our shared emotions more honestly and more accurately."

As its title suggests, “CO-WRITE” explores both the difficulties and the rewards of creating something together. The song serves as a reflection on collaboration itself, the vulnerability, trust and emotional connection required to build something meaningful alongside another person.

"That journey became 'CO-WRITE'," Centimillimental adds. "It's a piece of music I could never have reached on my own. I hope it resonates with anyone who has experienced the irreplaceable emotions that come from sharing their life with someone else."

Reflecting on the meaning behind the project, EL CAPITXN shares a broader perspective on the role of music and collaboration:

"I believe music is a process through which people who have lived different lives discover the same emotions. Great music is not always born from safe agreement. Sometimes it emerges from the kind of creative collision that refuses to let genuine emotion slip away. If this song can make someone pause for a moment in their day and reflect on the time they have lived through, then I believe it has already fulfilled its purpose."

The release arrives as Centimillimental continues his international expansion through the ongoing “Centimillimental WORLD TOUR 2025–2026 ‘Cafuné’.” Beginning with a performance at Zepp New Taipei on June 28, the tour will continue across Asia with stops in Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta, Bangkok, and Seoul.
