BLADE ARCUS from Shining EX Fighting Game Gets Japanese Release Date

PS3/PS4 port of Shining! spinoff slated for November 26


This year's combined 37th and 38th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump will announce on Monday that BLADE ARCUS from Shining! EX will ship on November 26 in Japan for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

The game is a console port of Sega's BLADE ARCUS from Shining! arcade fighting game, which is a spinoff of its Shining! role-playing games.

BLADE ARCUS from Shining! EX will feature the following 14 characters:

  • Ryuga (original character)
  • Pairon Wong (original character)
  • Rage (Shining! Blade)
  • Sakuya (Shining! Blade)
  • Fenrir (Shining! Blade)
  • Altina (Shining! Blade)
  • Xiao-Mei (Shining Hearts)
  • Melty (Shining Hearts)
  • Isaac (Shining Hearts)
  • Roselinde (Shining! Blade)
  • Rick Elwood (Shining Hearts)
  • Dylan Rowen (Shining Hearts)
  • Rouna Murasame (Shining Hearts)
  • Urayukihime Hayane (Shining Hearts)

Kenji Akabane will provide the voice for Ryuga, the game's hero, and Asami Shimoda will voice Pairon, the heroine.

Illustrator Tony designed the game's characters. Toshinobu Kondō is directing the game at Studio Saizensen.
