"As a novice level Monster Tamer, Yuji would normally be one of the last ones chosen when putting together a dungeon delving party. However, thanks to a clever trick involving a bunch of slimes, Yuji has also absorbed the archived knowledge of a great Sage and secretly gained an incredibly powerful second class! And if that's not enough, he's actually from a place called Japan in another world, which adds even more tricks up his sleeve! But even with these abilities and the help of his slimes, a magical Proud Wolf, and a forest spirit named Dryad, will that be enough to face off against rock dragons, sinister cults and gangs of slavers?"
Keisuke Kojima (I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level, Babylon) directed the anime and designed the characters at REVOROOT. Kiyotaka Suzuki (FLCL Alternative) was the assistant director. Naohiro Fukushima (I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level) handled the series scripts. Norihito Saitama was the chief animation director and additional character designer.
Three-member rock band Non Stop Rabbit performed the opening theme song "Mujikaku no Tensai" (Obliviously Talented). Surachanzu△, a voice actor unit composed of the six cast members who play the slimes in the show, performed the ending theme song "Gohan da yo! Dadadadan!!" The members include Hikaru Tohno (Sura), Mai Kanno (Surapacchi), Haruna Mikawa (Mayusawa), Erisa Kuon (Saruhappa), Nichika Ōmori (Higesura), and Miharu Hanai (Pekesura).
SB Creative's GA Novel imprint began publishing the story with illustrations by Huuka Kazabana in 2018. PONJEA launched the manga adaptation in 2018. Square Enix Manga & Books licensed the manga adaptation with the title My Isekai Life: I Gained a Second Character Class and Became the Strongest Sage in the World!.
