Com2uS (CEO Jae-kwan Nam) announced a collaboration between Summoners War and the popular TV anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, and released a teaser video ahead of the update.
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End follows the journey of Frieren, a mage who has lived for over a thousand years, and the people she newly encounters after the Hero's Party defeats the Demon King. The manga has surpassed 35 million copies in cumulative circulation, while the TV anime adaptation of the same name has also generated a strong response. Its third season has been confirmed to air from October 2027.
Alongside the teaser video, Com2uS has also opened a special minisite where players can preview key information about the collaboration. The site features details on the five collaboration characters being added through the update—Frieren, Fern, Stark, Übel, and Himmel—as well as preview videos showcasing their skills.
Com2uS is also holding a Share the Hype Event on the official Summoners War YouTube channel. Players can participate by watching the teaser video and leaving a comment with their Summoner name and expectations for the collaboration by June 29. All participants will receive Mystical Scrolls, Energy, and Mana Stones as rewards.
