Inventor Makes Functioning Castle in the Sky Flaptter

Inventor Kazuhiko Kakuta has worked on creating a functional RC model of the Flaptter from Castle in the Sky for the last four years. He began designing the model as part of his already well-established love for flying machines. He uploaded a prototype in January, but went back to tweaking it. A video showing off the latest version was uploaded on Tuesday.

The new version adds a stabilizer and minor repairs. Admittedly, the design varies some from official merchandise, but fantasy and actual aerodynamics don't always go hand in hand.
