Langrisser Teaser Countdown Website Launched

Chara-Ani Corporation launched a countdown teaser website on Wednesday for the Langrisser tactical role-playing game series. The site teases a "restart" of the series, with the countdown ending on August 23 at 12:00 p.m. JST. The site is also streaming a teaser video.
The video shows the titular legendary sword key to the series' story, and looks back on the previous games in the series.
Nippon Computer Systems software division Masaya released the first game in the series for the Mega Drive and PC in 1991, and it was also released in North America the same year under the title Warsong. The series went on to release four more main games, with Langrisser V: The End of Legend being released only in Japan in 1998 for the Sega Saturn. The games have been ported and remade on multiple occasions.
The latest entry in the series is Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei for the Nintendo 3DS, which shipped in Japan in July 2015, and in the West in April 2016.
