Cup Noodle's Freedom Wins Ad Industry's Clio Awards

The international advertising industry gave Silver Clio Awards for Integrated Campaign as well as Content and Contact to the "Freedom Project," Nissin's Cup Noodle promotional campaign that centers around the Freedom original video anime series. Katsuhiro Ōtomo (Akira, Steamboy) storyboarded and designed the space adventure anime, and Shuhei Morita (KakuRenBo) directed Sunrise on the animation. Bandai Visual USA is starting its English DVD and HD DVD release on June 26. Other notable Clio winners include the Big Shadow campaign for the Blue Dragon role-playing game in Japan. Source: Adweek
