M&C! Licenses Kozue Takashi's Chocotan! Manga

1st volume of manga about talking dog & owner slated for May 11
Indonesian publisher M&C! announced on Tuesday that it has licensed Kozue Takahashi's Chocotan! (Chocolate & Tan!) manga. The publisher will release the manga's first volume on May 11.
The manga follows a talking female miniature dachshund puppy named Chocotan, and Nao, the girl who owns her. The two are close friends, and Chocotan supports Nao as the girl deals with a romantic crush and life in general.
Takeuchi launched the manga in Shueisha's Ribon magazine in 2011. Shueisha published the manga's 10th compiled book volume last November. The manga received an event anime special that debuted at the Ribon Festa 2013 event. Rie Kugimiya plays the dog Chocotan in the anime.
