Multiple Home Editions of Dan Da Dan Will Be Released in the U.K. on Monday (Updated)

Update: An earlier version of this story wrongly said that a standard Blu-ray edition of Spice & Wolf: merchant meets the wise wolf would be released on November 17. However, this release has been rescheduled to January 2026.
On Monday November 17, Anime Limited will release the first season of Dan Da Dan in multiple home editions. There will be two Collector's Editions. An "Alien Edition" will be exclusive to the AllTheAnime website. and is pictured left. The materials in the slipcase will let it glow in the dark, with a protective O-card over it.

Extras in both the "Alien" and "Yokai" editions will include an A3 reversible poster, a sticker sheet and a 32-page booklet. On-disc extras will include an interview with the series creators, a director scene breakdown, commemorative interviews, and an interview with the composer Kensuke Ushio.


There will also be standard Blu-ray and DVD editions. The volume is described as follows:
"Frieren and Fern take a magic exam in order to enter the Northern Plateau. Not only is the test notorious for killing more people than it passes, it requires the one thing that can defeat even the most powerful elf: teamwork. May the era of humans begin."

Tomoyuki Itamura (Monogatari series) directed the anime at LIDEN FILMS with Tetsuya Miyanishi (Josee, The Tiger and the Fish) was the chief director. Michiko Yokote (Bleach, Shirobako, Prison School, Cowboy Bebop) wrote the scripts. Haruka Sagawa (Happy-Go-Lucky Days) designed the characters. Creepy Nuts performed the theme song "Yofukashi no Uta" (Call of the Night).

Ten years ago, the hero Max defeated the Demon Lord. In order to regain his power, the Demon Lord went into a deep slumber...but when he awakens, his body is only a chibi version of its fearsome form. Now curious to see what his enemy is up to, the Demon Lord visits Max, only to discover the mighty hero living in a dirty one-room apartment. The Demon Lord decides to move in with Max and help his old enemy become a formidable opponent once more!
Keisuke Inoue (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! both seasons, Ao-chan Can't Study!) directed the anime at studios SILVER LINK and BLADE. Toshiya Ono (Land of the Lustrous, The Promised Neverland, Shadows House) oversaw the series scripts and Yoshihiro Watanabe (Iwa-Kakeru! -Sport Climbing Girls-, The Testament of Sister New Devil) designed the characters. R.O.N (FLCL Alternative, The Slime Diaries, Kuroko's Basketball) composed the music.
