Ghibli UK Distributor Will Be Liquidated

Elysian Film Group Distribution handled UK cinema releases of Earwig and the Witch, The Boy and the Heron and multiple Studio Ghibli reissues

Elysian Film Group Distribution Limited previously acquired Studio Ghibli titles for release in the UK. It handled the UK cinema releases of Earwig and the Witch, The Boy and the Heron (right) and reissues of My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke.
Screen International notes that Elysian Film Group Distribution's best-performing release was The Boy and the Heron. Released in partnership with Anonymous Content and Bleecker Street, the Hayao Miyazaki film grossed £5.1 million in the UK and Ireland.
