Arc System Works announced on Thursday it will open Arc System Works Tokyo Studio "Takumi," its new development studio, on November 2. The company stated that it has decided to open a new studio to dramatically strengthen development capabilities across the company, beginning with a new fighting game that has been selected for the "IP360" subsidy project of Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

The company added that the new studio is a "strategic cornerstone for going beyond existing conventional game development frameworks and delivering an overwhelming sense of 'ultimate excitement' to players around the world." Additionally, the company envisions the studio as a collaboration hub with a widespread global reach. The company also announced that it is expanding its recruitment of creators with the opening of the new studio.

PlayStation Studios, Arc System Works, and Marvel Games launched the Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls 4v4 tag team fighter game for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on August 6 (August 7 in Japan).

Arc System Works also recently released the Donutal game on PC via Steam on September 3 (September 4 in Japan).

Arc System Works also announced on October 10 the PlayStation 5 release for its Blazblue: CentralFiction fighting game.

The company's Guilty Gear Strive fighting game inspired a television anime adaptation titled Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers, which debuted in April 2025.
