posted on by Anita Tai
Kodansha's Comic Days platform announced on Sunday Kyūri Yamada will launch a new manga titled Nanabun no Survivor (The One-Seventh Survivor) on Monday. The series will also serialize on Kodansha's YanMaga Web platform beginning November 16.
The story follows "useless" high school student Naoya, who struggles to do the mundane things everyone else can. While confiding in his friend about his struggle in Shibuya, a catastrophic earthquake strikes and his difficult daily life is abruptly disrupted.
Yamada launched the AI no Idenshi (The Genes of AI) manga in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine in November 2015, and ended it in August 2017. Akita Shoten published eight volumes for the manga. AI localization company Orange Inc.'s e-bookstore service emaqi publishes the series in English.
The series inspired a television anime in July 2023.
The five-volume AI no Idenshi RED QUEEN sequel manga ran from 2017 to 2019, and the AI no Idenshi Blue Age second sequel manga launched in July 2020 and ended in October 2024.
