The Bloodthirsty Bride Devours the King Manga Gets TV Anime in 2027
posted on by Egan Loo
A website opened on Monday to announce that a television anime of writer Shiki and artist Yū Shinonome's The Bloodthirsty Bride Devours the King (Chi ni Ueta Hanayome wa Ō o Kurau) manga will air next year.

The "forbidden dark romantic fantasy" is set in an era of war. Kate, a princess maiden with vampiric powers, enters an arranged marriage with Luka, the mightiest king of the realm, to protect her motherland. However, on their first night, the scent of his blood awakens her true nature, which shakes their bond to the core. Is the destined couple's bond merely a contract, instincts, or love?
Mariko Iwazaki is directing the anime at IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio, and Shiki is personally writing the scripts. The company en-dolphin is producing the project. Taeko Miura is directing the sound at the studio RD, and Kujira Yumemi (As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill, Chillin' in Another World With Level 2 Super Cheat Powers) is composing the music. Kazuya Takahashi is credited with production supervision.
The original manga has been available in individual chapters or volumes on various Japanese digital services including honto, and the 29th chapter and fourth volume debuted in October.
