Production Committee
: 作委員会A Production Committee is a corporation that brings together numerous companies to invest in and co-produce an anime. The rights to the anime, including copyright, are usually held by the production committee (i.e.: the production committee could be said to "own" the anime). Typical production committee members can include a distribution company (e.g.: Aniplex, Toho, Kadokawa), a TV studio (e.g.: TV Tokyo), a music company, a merchandise company, an ad network, the animation studio and overseas licensees.
