Sen To Chihiro a Box Office Success

Miyazaki's lastest masterpiece has been in theatres for almost a month. Sen to Chihiro has racked up some impressive numbers.

Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi has been in Japanese theatres for 25 days and has made an impressive ¥10,154,271,880. That comes to about 83 million US dollars. Not only has it attracted money to the theatres, but the people holding the money too. Around 8 million people have gone to see the movie.
Mononoke Hime only managed to make 18 billion Yen after 8 months of showing.
Also on the official website are pictures of the promotional leaflets given away to those lucky folk who went to see the movie.
