Aniplex of America Acquires TV Anime mono
Aniplex of America announced on March 1st that they have acquired the TV anime mono! mono was first serialized as a four-panel comic strip in HOUBUNSHA's Manga Time Kirara Carat created by Afro, who first started making comfy camping popular with his previous series Laid-Back Camp.
The series is created by Aniplex and HOUBUNSHA (Hidamari Sketch, Bocchi the Rock!). Joining them is the up-and-coming animation studio Soigne.
The team working on this includes Director Ryota Aikei (Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory / Premature Death, Shibuya Incident), Character Designer Takuya Miyahara (Asteroid in Love), and Yōko Yonaiyama (A Sign of Affection) for the series composition.
This slice-of-life anime explores the girls' everyday lives and scenes from Kofu City in Yamanashi prefecture. mono tells the story of the Cinephoto Club, a combination of high school girls from the Photography Club and Cinema Club, and their fun weekend adventures!
Look out for mono, as it's coming this April 2025!
