Award-Winning Composer Go Shiina to Create Music for Tiny Metal 2

Developer AREA 35 Inc. Taps Renowned Composer Recently Honored with ‘Best Score’ at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards

TOKYO - June 24, 2026 - Developer AREA 35 Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Hiroaki Yura) is pleased to announce that music for TINY METAL 2, the latest installment in its turn-based strategy simulation game series, will be composed by Gō Shiina, a renowned composer known for his work in games and anime, recognized internationally with major awards.

Gō Shiina joined Namco (now Bandai Namco) in 1997, contributing to the Tales, Mr. Driller and Tekken series. His first major solo project was Tales of Legendia, followed by roles on the Ace Combat series, as well as Tekken and Tales titles. Shiina retired from Bandai Namco in 2017, becoming a freelance composer and has recently earned international recognition for his work on the juggernaut-hit anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and its theatrical films. His work on Demon Slayer earned him “Best Score” at the 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards.

For TINY METAL 2, Gō Shiina has created music featuring grand orchestral recordings. His score adds greater depth, emotion and energy to the game's dramatic world and the stories of the characters fighting across the battlefield.

Last year, we were discussing opportunities to work together again, and I asked if he would be interested in contributing to TINY METAL 2. Thankfully, he graciously accepted. The world of TINY METAL 2 often places its characters in situations that seem hopeless or predetermined. I wanted the music to capture the feeling of standing against that destiny, of finding the strength to challenge what appears inevitable. Even in the darkest moments, there is always a sense of determination and hope pushing the characters forward, and I felt Go was uniquely suited to express that through his music.”

TINY METAL 2. will be present at the Japan Expo in Paris, running July 9-12. Gō Shiina will make a special appearance as he joins the AREA 35 Inc. team for an exclusive announcement. Stay tuned for more updates.

The fog of war returns in the popular arcade war gaming series with TINY METAL 2, a new chapter of tactical action and multi-faction intrigue featuring the return of fan favourite TINY METAL characters, strategy-based gameplay and a wealth of new commanders, modes and for the first time in the series – naval battles featuring submarines, battleships and more. Lead a storm of land, sea and air forces to ultimate victory in the grid-based tactical battle. As the commander, players decide what units to produce, what resources to capture, and when to attack. Triumph against an alliance of fearsome enemies, or be crushed under the treads of their advance.

TINY METAL 2 is in development by AREA 35 Inc. and will be published by AREA 34, Inc. when it releases in spring 2027 on PC via Steam and other platforms. The title is currently available to Wishlist on Steam.
