Spyair Drops New Album Best of Anime, A Definitive Collection of 17 Anime Theme Songs Spanning 16 Years
Tokyo, Japan – SPYAIR have released BEST OF ANIME, a definitive collection bringing together 17 anime theme songs spanning 16 years, from 2010 to 2026.
The album gathers some of the band's most iconic songs created for anime, alongside newly recorded versions of selected tracks.
The album is led by “Awake,” SPYAIR's NEWEST track and the opening theme for the anime The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System. It also features “Samurai Heart (Some Like It Hot!!),” the ending theme for Gintama Season 2, which has surpassed 100 million streams and continues to resonate with fans around the world 15 years after its release.
“RAGE OF DUST,” the opening theme for Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, and “Orange,” the theme song for HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle, are also included, with “Orange” having surpassed 200 million streams to become SPYAIR's biggest streaming hit.
Alongside anime theme songs released by the band's current lineup since 2023, the album also includes newly recorded versions of anime songs the band created since their major-label debut in 2010. Together, the 17 tracks form a definitive collection of SPYAIR's 16-year journey through anime music.
In 2026, SPYAIR continued to expand their presence both in Japan and internationally, performing at major events across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
In September, the band held their annual outdoor solo concert “JUST LIKE THIS 2026” in both Japan and Korea, with the Korean edition marking the first-ever overseas edition of the event and welcoming 7,000 fans.
Following the release of BEST OF ANIME, SPYAIR will return to Europe for their “SPYAIR EUROPE TOUR 2026,” marking the band's first European tour in eight years since 2018. The six-date tour will take SPYAIR across Austria, France, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, and Italy, beginning October 30 in Vienna and continuing through Paris, Eindhoven, Frankfurt, London, and Milan.

SPYAIR is a 4-piece Japanese rock band formed in 2005.

Their latest release is “Take Flight,” the theme song for the 2026–27 SV.LEAGUE season, which began in October.
