Fuji TV purchases 10% of Gonzo

The Fuji TV network has invested in 10% of Gonzo Digimation with the intention of co-producing anime films for international release. Fuji purchased the share for about 350 million yen (US$3.2 million). Chihiro Kameyama of Fuji TV's movie division anticipates competing with Pixar Studios by 2006, when the first Fuji TV/Gonzo film will be ready for release.
