Anohana Film Opens With 198 Million Yen

Kogyo Tsushinsha's Cinema Ranking Tsūshin website reported on Monday that the anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day movie sold 161,225 tickets for 198,177,700 yen (about US$1.989 million) in its opening weekend on 64 screens. It ranked #3 for the weekend.
The movie opened on August 31 in theaters across Japan. The film retells the anohana story from the character Menma's point of view with a new epilogue.
