Elex Media Licenses Learning to Love My Cat-like Classmate Manga

Indonesian publisher Elex Media Komputindo announced in a video on Tuesday on the Litaku YouTube channel (jointly run by Elex Media and M&C!) that it will begin publishing Akinoko's Learning to Love My Cat-like Classmate (Tonari no Neko to Koi Shirazu) manga in Indonesia sometime this month.
Square Enix's Manga UP! Global service is releasing the manga in English, and it describes the story:
Minato Seno's high school life had just begun when his homeroom teacher requested his help with Nekozane, the cat-like chronic napper who sits next to him in class. Timid and socially anxious, Minato has never talked to her or even seen her face. But when he finally musters up the courage to wake Nekozane, she unexpectedly hugs him on the spot! Thus begins a sweet tale of two teens awkwardly stumbling into a new friendship, unaware that their feelings are slowly turning into something more!
Akinoko debuted the manga on X/Twitter in November 2023. The manga began serializing in Square Enix's Big Gangan magazine in April 2024. Square Enix released the manga's sixth compiled book volume on April 24.
Elex Media also revealed on Wednesday that its release of Jinushi's Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You (Super no Ura de Yani Sū Futari) manga will tentatively debut in July (the first volume was previously tentatively slated for a May 1 release).
