Ani-One Asia Licenses Chainsmoker Cat Anime

Ani-One Asia announced on Thursday that it has licensed the television anime of Nyan Nyan Factory's Chainsmoker Cat (Yanineko) manga, and will begin streaming the anime in July.
Ani-One Asia describes the anime:
In a world where humans and beast-folk coexist, there lives a beastfolk named "Chainsmoker Cat" who spends its days lazing around while chain-smoking. No money! No life skills! Good for nothing! Manners and morals were tossed away right along with the cigarette butts. Smoking, exhaling, chatting, and burning through life. And yet, they're living their days quite to the fullest. Please watch over the loose, smoke-filled daily lives of these scumbag cats that you just can't bring yourself to hate.
The anime will debut in Japan on July 2.

Studio Lemon's Taku Kimura (Kairyū to Yūbinya-san, Star Wars: Visions' "Tattooine Rhapsody") is directing the anime at Bibury Animation Studio, and Takashi Aoshima (Himouto! Umaruchan, The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You) is writing the scripts. Riki Matsuura is designing the characters, and Keiichi Suzuki (Saint Young Men, Tokyo Godfathers) is composing the music. Rock band Wasureranneyo will perform the anime's opening theme song "Nanmonee," while Necry Talkie will perform the anime's ending theme song "Kemuri to Blue" (Smoke and Blue). Other staff members include:
