The wraparound jacket band on the ninth compiled book volume of Yukari Takinami's Watashitachi wa Mutsū Renai ga Shitai: Kagi Aka Joshi to Hoshikuzu Danshi to Femi Ojisan (We Want a Painless Romance ~Private Account Woman and Stardust Man and Feminist Uncle) manga, which shipped on Thursday, revealed that it is getting a live-action net adaptation. More details will be revealed at a later date.
The manga's story centers on Minami, who can only express her true feelings through a private social media account. She is fed up with having to fulfill the traditional role of a "woman," getting bumped into by strangers on the street, and being treated roughly by "stardust men" (good looking men who are trash). Then she meets an older male "feminist uncle."
Takinami launched the manga on Kodansha's &Sofa manga website when it opened in November 2021. Kodansha shipped the manga's first volume in 2022, and the eighth volume on February 20.
Takinami launched the Ex-Enthusiasts: Motokare Mania (Motokare Mania) manga in Kodansha's Kiss magazine in June 2017, and ended it in March 2021. Kodansha published the manga's sixth and final in May 2021. Kodansha Comics licensed the manga and it published the sixth volume in English in October 2021.
The manga inspired a live-action television series adaptation in October 2019.
