Voice Actress Lisa Ortiz to Attend Derpycon 2025
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (4/25/2025) – Lisa Ortiz will be attending as one of several guests at DerpyCon. Her voice has been heard internationally on Disney XD, SciFi, Cartoon Network, WB, Funimation, Nickelodeon and Netflix amongst others. She has voiced characters such as Lina Inverse from Slayers, Amy Rose from Sonic the Hedgehog, Icy and Musa from Winx Club, and Serenity Wheeler in Yu-Gi-Oh!.
Lisa is currently the director of Pokémon: Journeys and Pokémon: Horizons and has worked on the show in various capacities over the years since Indigo League. Voicing over three dozen Pokémon (including Oshawott, Litten, Vaporeon, Chewtle, Poipole, Fletchling and Totodile) and 10 plus trainers, from Misty's older sister Daisy, to Sabrina, Flannery, Mars, Neesha, Talia and present-day gym leader Korrina. She was the voice of Team Rocket's Rotom phone and has appeared in nearly every season of the show. She began directing on Black and White and has overseen Voice Direction on the past 3 arcs, including the 20th anniversary, 25th anniversary, and the final episodes of Ash Ketchum's arc.

ABOUT DERPYCON: DerpyCon is a New Jersey-based multi-genre convention that was founded in 2012, which brings anime, gaming, sci-fi, comics, and much more to the northeast United States each October. The convention held its first event in 2014, welcoming more than 700 attendees to Morristown, NJ; since then, the event has more than doubled in size – both attendee wise & space wise – including moving to New Brunswick, NJ in 2021 to continue to grow.
