Fans Invited to Join the Growing Community Behind Living in a World Without Magic
A new initiative brings together anime fans who want to see Living in a World Without Magic continue as a feature-length film.
Anime fans around the world are being invited to join the Mahoseka Film Club, a limited-time community campaign running through July 8, 2026, created for fans who want to see Living in a World Without Magic continue as a feature length film.
The Mahoseka Film Club brings together fans who want to see Living in a World Without Magic continue as a feature film. Through community activities, updates, and opportunities for participation, members can stay connected to the project's development while helping demonstrate the enthusiasm and global interest surrounding the franchise.
The project builds upon the success of Living in a World Without Magic, a seven-minute original short anime created by Akiwashi that has garnered more than 6.3 million views on YouTube. Featuring Natsuki Hanae (Demon Slayer, DAN DA DAN, Witch Hat Atelier), the short anime earned praise for its storytelling and memorable world. Its strong reception left many fans wanting to learn more about the story and the world beyond what was shown.
The story's popularity continued to grow with the release of a novel adaptation published by KADOKAWA in 2023. Written by Mamoru Iwasa, the novel expands upon the world originally created by Akiwashi and has received praise from talents including voice actress Ayane Sakura and Gom of HoneyWorks. The book has also surpassed 7,000 copies in circulation.
While the original short anime introduced audiences to the world of Living in a World Without Magic, the planned feature film is intended to tell the full story behind it.
To support that journey, the Mahoseka Film Club was created as a place for fans who want to follow the project's growth and demonstrate their interest in seeing the story continue. The initiative provides a visible measure of community engagement that can help inform discussions with potential production partners and investors as development progresses.
The Mahoseka Film Club campaign will run until July 8, 2026, offering fans a chance to join the growing community behind Living in a World Without Magic and demonstrate their enthusiasm for the project's future. Throughout the campaign, members will receive an exclusive digital badge for their AnimeOshi profile and gain access to behind-the-scenes materials.
Fans can join the Mahoseka Film Club at https://www.animeoshi.com/mahosekafilmclub and follow official project updates at https://www.mahoseka.com/ .
