Legendary Musician Toshiki Kadomatsu to Share 10 Original Albums on Streaming Services for the First Time Ever on June 27
Streaming Launch Coincides with Sold-Out 45th Anniversary Performance at Yokohama Arena
Tokyo, Japan – As he celebrates the 45th anniversary of his debut, legend Toshiki Kadomatsu brings 10 original albums to streaming services for the first time, opening his catalog to listeners for a new era.
Since making his debut in June 1981 with the single “YOKOHAMA Twilight Time,” Toshiki Kadomatsu has resonated with audiences through his comfortable and sophisticated sound, continuing his career as an artist supported across generations and borders. He's also produced and written songs for other Japanese legends, including singers ANRI and Miho Nakayama.
While handling songwriting, composition, arrangement, production and even the direction of his live performances himself, Kadomatsu has consistently created his own unique musical world. Released through the masked band AGHARTA in which he was also a member, "WA ni Natte Odorou" became a massive hit. In 1998, Kadomatsu performed at the Closing Ceremony of the Nagano Winter Olympics with AGHARTA.
In recent years, while continuing to hold nationwide tours regularly, Kadomatsu has also presented MILAD (Music, Live, Act & Dance), a comprehensive entertainment production for which he serves as writer, director and composer for two consecutive years. In addition, he launched the Contemporary Urban Music series, continuing to pursue new forms of expression.
On June 27, 2026, Toshiki Kadomatsu returns to Yokohama Arena for a special concert celebrating his 45th anniversary. Five years have passed since his 40th Anniversary Live, which was held during the COVID-19 pandemic. This special performance will present the musical challenges and evolution he has accumulated during that time, as well as where he stands today as an artist. Tickets for the three-part anniversary concert sold out immediately upon release, reflecting the continued support of his fans and his enduring presence as an artist.
In addition, ten original albums released after TIME TUNNEL, the album that marked the resumption of his activities following a hiatus, will become available on streaming services for the first time ever on June 27, the day of the concert. These works, which have long been enjoyed primarily on CD, will now be delivered to listeners in Japan and around the world in a new format.
In recent years, as City Pop has experienced a global resurgence in popularity, interest in Japanese pop music and AOR (Adult Oriented Rock)-influenced sounds has continued to grow. Kadomatsu's works have also received high praise from overseas DJs and vinyl collectors, while his sophisticated sound and songwriting continue to attract new listeners across countries and generations.
Even as he reaches the major milestone of his 45th anniversary, Kadomatsu's creative drive and willingness to take on new challenges remain unchanged. A new story begins at Yokohama Arena, while the launch of these albums on streaming services will bring his music to audiences around the world.
