The Latest Video Looks Back on Ten Years of the Award-Winning Anime Series Ahead of Anime Expo 2026

Los Angeles, California (June 16, 2026) – In celebration of “Hero Day” in Japan and the My Hero Academia The Animation 10th Anniversary, Toho Co., LTD. has released a new commemorative video today honoring ten years of the anime series. The release also follows My Hero Academia's Anime of the Year win at the 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards for the anime's final season, which celebrated everyone who supported the franchise every step of the way.

Released as part of the ongoing celebration for the series, the latest two and a half minute video released on the same day the legendary hero All Might defeated the evil All For One in Kamino, looks back on the anime's history with nostalgic music and memorable footage from previous episodes. It invites longtime fans to relive the journey of Izuku “Deku” Midoriya and his heroic friends and villainous enemies.

Kōhei Horikoshi's manga ended in August 2024 after selling over 100 million copies worldwide, but My Hero Academia is still one of the top shonen titles, spawning a decades-long anime that now includes eight seasons, 170+1 episodes, and four films.

TOHO animation also recently announced that they will be hosting a My Hero Academia 10th Anniversary Panel at Anime Expo 2026 on July 4 at 2:30 PM at the Crypto.com area. The panel will include appearances by Daiki Yamashita, who voices Deku, and Kōki Uchiyama, who voices the show's main antagonist, Tomura Shigaraki.

In addition, the panel will have the world premiere of the new special clip, My Hero Academia: I am a hero too. Set after the events of the epilogue special, centered on an older version of one of the anime's supporting characters, Eri. The upcoming feature adapts five additional pages of manga material released with the My Hero Academia: Ultra Age fan book and is scheduled for an official launch on August 3, 2026.

My Hero Academia The Animation 10th Anniversary celebration will continue throughout 2026, with further projects, collaborations, and announcements to be revealed on the 10th Anniversary Project Special Website https://myheroacademia.link/10-anniversary/.
