Pandacorya's Uptight Teacher Meets Gyaru Slut is a very specific piece of smut in several regards. A lesbian take on the trope of a morally upstanding person being corrupted by a more promiscuous younger person — a student and teacher in this case, for an extra shot of taboo — I found myself less taken with the plot of Uptight Teacher Meets Gyaru Slut and more fixated on how this work depicts its story. Pandacorya has such a distinct art style that, even when it doesn't quite work or their current artist's limits become visible, it's still striking and unlike much of the other material in this scene.
Uptight Teacher Meets Gyaru Slut is nothing but rail-thin women performing pretty much every sex act that two (or more) women can do to each other in a more grounded setting. Pandacorya's artistic direction makes these characters look more like mid-2000s OCs than what I'm used to seeing in modern doujinshi. While the author clearly has a solid sense of anatomy and posing, there's an elongation and emphasis in the leads Shibata and Mika that makes them feel uncanny, but in a way that's not necessarily off-putting. Regularly, characters' heads will appear much larger than the rest of their body, as though the work were trying to emulate a forced-perspective shot from live-action media. This isn't necessarily bad, but it's weird to see a character who looks like they're under the effects of a “Big Head Mode” cheat code while I can also count every single vertebra in their spinal column. It'd be a little reductive to say that the artwork in Uptight Teacher Meets Gyaru Slut is the hentai equivalent of the lovingly exaggerated anatomy featured in Grappler Baki, but that's honestly the only solid point of comparison I have as a way to sort out my feelings on this work.
For all of my comments on the character designs, the page layouts in Uptight Teacher Meets Gyaru Slut are phenomenal, and the lines of action and motion are far better than what I'm used to seeing in this kind of material. While the story and character relationships are developed enough that I'm sure some folks will vibe with this work, I really just need more people to check this one out and experience the artwork. Uptight Teacher Meets Gyaru Slut is so unique that I don't feel confident in saying whether it's good or bad here, but I desperately hope that people check it out so that I can talk to them and better figure out my own feelings.

It's nice to see a relationship where everyone's allowed to bring out the worst in each other.
Shibata and Anzai's dynamic is a lot of fun, with Shibata vacillating between her uptight, stern public façade and her dog-on-a-leash submissive attitude once Anzai puts the works on her. In a way, their relationship is sweet: past all the dirty talk, Shibata revels in having someone she can show her true face to. And we even get to see them work together to take down the maliciously domineering Yuko.
Pandacorya's art style is a bit striking, with how tall and slender his characters are. But it leads to some incredibly dynamic panels where his bodies show off incredible amounts of flexibility. It's amazing to see them contort in their sexual poses. It's heartwarming to see them in their post-coital snuggles.
Of course, there's the whole conceit of this being a grown teacher getting seduced by a teenage student, and I'd definitely be cocking an eyebrow if this weren't an erotic manga. But it's a fun dynamic here, and we don't have to sweat the details.
J18 compiles all three of Pandacora's chapters into one volume for this release, and the chapters only get successively longer as the series goes on—even if the series is only three chapters long. I'd say it's almost a shame that the series ends after only three chapters. I'd love to see where this lewd twosome ends up later on in life. But for now, it's a great read and strongly recommended.

Being a teacher can be stressful. Sometimes you have to deal with annoying kids or teenagers who don't properly respect you, so I can understand needing some kind of outlet to blow off steam, especially when you're considered one of the hardasses of the school. I would never recommend taking out that frustration on a student, but it's very clear that this is a story that is leaning into the taboo of that bratty student and hard-core teacher dynamic. If that is your cup of tea then congratulations because this story plays out that dynamic in spades from beginning to end.
I was actually not totally sure where the story was going to go when the initial confrontation between the two titular characters first met. It gets sexual very quickly, but the story does build on the fact that this is something that the two of them sort of need. The teacher needs to find an outlet, while the student needs to find a genuine connection outside of just compensated dating. I do actually buy the chemistry that these two establish during the sex scenes themselves and it does lead to some of the hottest girl on girl action present in this guide. Even when the story gets a little bit silly, introducing other characters that try to weigh in on their relationship, I like how the two come together in order to confront those forces while still maintaining their dynamic. This was honestly a story that was just as much fun as it was titillating. The sex scenes are nice and sweaty, but the banter is also just as strong. I can definitely recommend it if you don't mind taboo school romances.
