Well-Disciplined Gyarus has a simple enough story. I can't really give it any grief over that: it's about gyaru, and we get one tremendous gyaru in this eromanga. I can't give it any grief for Miki's design, because I cannot judge a man for liking his women plump. It's everything else that brings this chapter down; the male lead is a featureless silhouette through the entire thing, and whole pages can go by without anything resembling an actual background. Miki herself is drawn with lavish detail, and I can respect that, but they couldn't even bother to draw anyone—or even anything—else.

The scenario isn't much else to write home about, either. A guy with more dollars than sense hires a sex worker; he manages to get her to like him by showering her in cash. The most notable thing in this story, which took me out, was an instance of queefing; I give the translation credit for coining the phrase “pussy fart,” but that doesn't exactly mean I find it hot.

If you've gotta read every story featuring gyaru, this one is likely gonna be in your collection. But the bar is way higher for these. Weak recommendation.

There's a line from the sitcom 30 Rock that my partner and I throw around frequently when we watch something perplexing that goes something like, “You know, I once played Frederick Douglass in a one-woman show that the University of Maryland Diamondback called 'too confusing to be offensive.'” That's how I feel after reading Achumuchi's Well-Disciplined Gyarus Cost Extra, which I think is ultimately pro-sex and sex work, but also so surreal and nearly uncanny that I'm not really sure if it's a parody or if the text should be taken as genuine. Regardless, if you like ridiculously proportioned and costumed characters having ridiculous sex, you're going to enjoy this work, even as it inspires far more questions than is typical of erotic fiction.

Centering on a generic man, rendered as just a vaguely masculine bubble outline, whose only talent is making money, he decides to use some of this money to have sex with a hot woman. He pays her growing sums of money to express appreciation for her body and sexual performance by literally stuffing cash into various orifices, and then they go on to have varying kinds of wanton physical intimacy. In the process, the titular gyaru Miki reveals that she has inverted nipples, dawns a risque outfit, and shows off her split tongue body modification. There's also a throwaway line about her having a foreign boyfriend/dom who the main character assumes to be well-endowed, and this bit of clunkily inserted raceplay is distracting at best and problematic at worst.

There isn't much of a narrative to Well-Disciplined Gyarus Cost Extra outside of its framing and no real conflict to speak of, but it does feature characters enthusiastically having creative sex that could only really occur in the medium of hentai. While it might seem a bit crass at first blush that the main character is literally throwing cash at Miki in exchange for sexual services, she's an actual prostitute, and this is a blunt (though not wholly inaccurate) representation of this dynamic. That being said, the main character feeling the need to “educate” a young woman on how the economics of this kind of exchange work when she very obviously knows more about it than him is weird and carries some complicated implications.

Again, though, none of the themes or ideas Well-Disciplined Gyarus Cost Extra are explicit enough to be offensive, and it's easy to have a good time with it if you can turn your brain off while reading it.

This story confuses me because I wasn't really sure where it was going half of the time. Sometimes that can be a good thing because, after reading enough porn, it's hard to be surprised. Especially when most of the time you're not really looking to be surprised. On the other hand, too many bizarre surprises make it hard for me to find any sense of rhythm to really get invested in what is going on. There were moments in this book where I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be laughing or getting my rocks off, which can be a problem.

The premise is that a faceless old man, who apparently makes so much money he doesn't know what to do with, just hits up a big titty call girl and is constantly finding excuses to give her money. They go on a date and have sex, but every few pages the sex gets interrupted with him just shoving money everywhere to justify the escalation. There are some really intense and titillating scenes, especially when the story seems to cross over into NTR territory with the gal getting seemingly broken down. However, the amount of stop and go that happens with the money gimmick ended up becoming more distracting than anything. By the end, I was left confused as to what I was supposed to take away from the story, which is a shame because I feel like if it just fully committed to the escort sex angle, I would've walked away with a more satisfying experience, even if it would've ended up being a more predictable one. I like the design of the call gal, and I even liked her attitude, but the structure hurt too much. This felt like a sex story that was also trying too hard to be different when sometimes, less can be more.

As I read these 18+ comics, I am fascinated in an anthropological way. Well-Disciplined Gyarus Cost Extra is very clear about the things that are of interest a too-young woman, a sexy body that, when loosed from clothes reveals enormous tits and ass, and of course an already wet pussy, because foreplay is confusing.

But what truly interests me here is the way the man is portrayed. In this doujinshi, the man is even less drawn in than usual. He's considers himself older, and thinks of himself as boring, with no interesting features other than his money. His penis, however is young and strong and shows no sign of age (or this kind of ravages of health and time a person who works long hours at a desk job might evince.) I often find myself wondering if men dislike themselves as well as not genuinely liking actual women.

Because this comics is a scenario, without any real plot, one just has to marvel at the unnatural way Miki's ass moves around and squishes, almost as if it is another set of breasts. It's fascinating in an alien way. Once again anatomy is merely a suggestion here.

I understand that none of this is why one reads comics like this, but I, writer that I am, if you don't give me a story, I'm going to stare at weird details and obsess.

For a 57 page comic, this felt very short. It's not that I wanted more of Miki and boring old man, it's that I felt like I spent some intimate time with them with without really learning anything about them. I kind of wish they at least had a short conversation before or after sex about something.

If you like really big and squishy tits and ass, Well-Disciplined Gyarus Cost Extra is definitely going to be of interest.
