Top 10 Reasons to Watch Call of the Night Season 2 on HIDIVE

1.Vampire Lore

Vampires hold an undying allure but Call of the Night doesn't play by the usual rules. Instead, it develops unique lore around its mythology, most notably the idea that in order to become a vampire, you must fall in love with one. It's a totally new spin on the vampire genre fans will be eager to sink their teeth into.

2. The Ticking Clock

That love-based transformation comes with a catch: from the moment your blood is first sucked, you have one year to fall in love and become a vampire... or else. The ticking clock adds urgency to every romantic moment, turning every flutter of emotion into a race against time. The stakes have never been higher.

3. An Unconventional Romance

Forget the usual vampire boy meets human girl formula. Call of the Night flips the script with a female vampire and a human boy as the romantic leads. Not only are the roles reversed, their relationship is built on introspection, emotional nuance, and a thoughtful exploration of what love really means. It's a romance that feels refreshingly real.

4. Nazuna: The Vampire with Bite

She's bold, she's beautiful, she's charismatic. Take one look at Nazuna and you'll know why she's some fans' ultimate waifu. But take a closer look and you'll realize she is a fully realized character with layers of humor, vulnerability and mystery. Hilarious and heartbreaking in turns, Nazuna is one of those characters who just sticks with you long after the season ends.

5. Ko: The Human Element

Ko's quiet, introspective nature makes him a perfect foil to Nazuna's brash personality. Caught up in supernatural forces beyond most humans' understanding, his grounded reactions to supernatural chaos around him make him deeply relatable. His journey through insomnia, identity and emotional growth anchors the series with a human core.

6. Anko Uguisu: The Detective

A fan-favorite character with a hotly anticipated debut, everything changes when Anko Uguisu enters the scene. A human detective turned vampire hunter, she rocks Ko and Nazuna's world the minute she appears on-screen. With ties to Nazuna's forgotten past and mysterious connections to the larger world of vampires, Anko is a fitting antagonist who adds depth to this moody show.

7. The Stellar Voice Cast

As in any animated series or film, the characters are brought to life by the actors that voice them. The Japanese cast includes Sora Amamiya (Rent a Girlfriend) as Nazuna and Gen Satou (Dr. Stone) as Ko. The English dub cast includes Natalie Rial (Chained Soldier) as Nazuna and Gabriel Regojo (The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes) as Ko.

8. Creepy Nuts' Music

You might remember the absolute banger of an OP from Call of the Night Season 1, Daten, which was performed by the Japanese hip hop duo, Creepy Nuts. They've also performed other high profile anime OPs including the theme for Dan Da Dan. Fans of the band will not be disappointed that they are back with more high-energy tunes for Season 2.

9. Gorgeous Animation from LIDENFILMS

The starry skies. The neon-soaked lighting. The shadowy adventures in the thick of night. Call of the Night is a beautiful looking show. The animation studio behind it, LIDENFILMS, has an incredible catalog boasting Insomniacs After School, the Initial D series, and Tokyo Revengers, so they know a thing or two about high-quality animation.

10. Season 1 Set the Bar High

Anime fans know the feelings all too well: the waiting, hoping, wishing, praying that your favorite anime gets renewed. Not every anime has a second season. Fortunately, Season 1 is just so good, boasting a high score on MAL; it's no surprise that Call of the Night got renewed for a second season. And luckily for you, you can binge the whole season right now on HIDIVE.
