Chaos Zero Nightmare Unveils New Season Details at Anime Expo 2026
SANTA MONICA, CA - July 4, 2026 Chaos Zero Nightmare (CZN), the dark fantasy roguelike RPG developed by Super Creative and published by Smilegate, held a panel session for players at Anime Expo 2026, North America's largest subculture festival taking place in Los Angeles. During the session, the team also unveiled the upcoming “Galactic Disaster” season for the first time.
The panel session was held on Friday, July 3, from 7:45 PM to 9:05 PM at a conference hall in the Los Angeles Convention Center. Kim Hyung Suk, PD of Super Creative, who took the stage as the main presenter of the panel session, introduced the development history of Chaos Zero Nightmare and engaged with players by sharing the challenges the team faced throughout development and the many iterations they went through in pursuit of creating a truly fun game. In particular, he emphasized, “I believe the one thing that connects the past, present, and future of anime-style games is ultimately the developers' sincerity.” He also expressed his deep affection for Chaos Zero Nightmare and his commitment to further enhancing the game's overall quality going forward.
During the presentation, information about the upcoming new season of Galactic Disaster, scheduled for a July update, was also revealed for the first time. According to the presentation, the official title of the new season is “Season 4 Shattered Light and Claw,” and it is scheduled to launch on July 28. Additionally, illustrations, character settings, and in-development skill animations for the new Season 4 combatants, “Hilde,” “Arabella,” and “Olga,” were also revealed. Hilde wields a bow, Arabella uses a “flexible blade,” a whip-like sword, and Olga fights with a massive scythe, each offering a unique appeal unlike any existing combatant.
A character appearance customization system currently in development was also showcased. When equipped with an Outfit, characters will gain exclusive voice lines and story content. Starting this summer with seasonal combatants such as “Heidemarie” and “Sereniel,” a variety of Outfits for different characters are planned to be added.
Smilegate plans to further reveal information about the new season in Korea and other global regions.
