Konami's Former Fox Engine Lead Architect Joins Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on Monday that it has hired former Konami Worldwide Technology Director Julien Merceron. Merceron will assume the same position at Bandai Namco.

Merceron worked at Konami from 2013 until earlier this year, and he was the lead architect on Metal Gear Solid franchise's recent Fox Engine. Merceron has worked as the Worldwide Technology Director at several major companies, including Ubisoft and Square Enix. He has also worked at Eidos, and is currently a board member for the Game Developers Conference and CEDEC.
