The staff of the Anime Herald website announced on Monday that the website will launch a print magazine on its 15th anniversary. The Anime Herald Magazine's inaugural issue will ship in October 2025 and will have a suggested retail price of US$17.95.

The first issue of the magazine will be a special anniversary publication that compiles eight archival pieces from Anime Herald and nine new articles from others working in anime media. The issue will feature articles by Lynzee Loveridge (Anime News Network), Daryl Surat (Otaku USA Magazine, Anime World Order Podcast), Chiaki Mitama (Anime Feminist), Erica Friedman (Okazu), Red Bard (Red Bard), Borealis Capps (Anime Herald, Yatta-Tachi, Anime Feminist), and Lucas DeReuyter (Anime News Network) as well as Anime Herald editor-in-chief and founder Samantha Ferreira.

Anime Herald told ANN that it would like to release new issues quarterly or biannually if it gets a strong response to the inaugural issue, but it plans to publish the magazine at least annually. The publication will examine sales of the first issue before deciding how to proceed.

Ferreira founded the independent reader-supported website in 2010.
