Love Live! fans had a chance to vote for which μ's idol member will be the campaign girl for Glico's Watering Kissmint chewing gum last year, and they chose Maki Nishikino. To celebrate, Glico posted a newly animated television commercial featuring Maki and the μ's tune "Angelic Angel":
Fans voted after buying one of 16 different gum variants (in four flavors: Peach, Ume Sour, Muscat, and Lychee Lemon) and entering a serial number on the voting website. As thanks, the fan received free wallpaper for PCs and smartphones.
This is not the first time Glico enticed anime and manga fans to chew Watering Kissmint — a 2011 campaign boasted JoJo's Bizarre Adventure characters.
