The staff of the Anime India convention released a video message from director Tetsuro Araki (Attack on Titan, Guilty Crown) on Wednesday addressing his Indian fans.
Araki made the following statement in the video:
Hello to everyone in India! I'm Tetsurō Araki, an animation director. Thank you very much for inviting me to “Anime India”. I'm truly honored to have this opportunity to directly feel how the anime we create is reaching so many people across borders. I'm really looking forward to seeing how our work is received and enjoyed in India. I can't wait to meet you all at Anime India!

Araki will attend the Anime India event as the "flagship guest." Voice actor Tsunko (D4DJ First Mix, D4DJ All Mix), president of Avex Pictures Hideo Katsumata, and DJ Touko Nakamura will also attend the event as guests.
The flagship event will be an interviewer-led presentation on August 24, which will focus two specific anime series directed by Araki: Attack on Titan and Death Note. "The Great Indian Anime Showdown" quiz final will take place on the panel stage on August 23 and focus on Araki's other works.
The event will also feature DJ performances, a film festival, a cosplay showcase, and fighting game events.
The staff describes the event:
