MCM London Comic Con Runs Friday to Sunday at ExCel Centre

Event will include Anime Limited panels, screenings, and appearances from dub actors Lauren Landa, Debi Derryberry, Sarah Wiedenheft and Dante Basco


The MCM London Comic Con will take place from Friday May 23 to Saturday May 25 at the ExCel centre.

Anime Limited has announced an industry panel on Saturday on Centre Stage from 5 p.m. to 5.45 p.m., and a panel called "The World of Macross" on Sunday on Centre Stage at 2.45 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.

There will also be several screenings: Macross Plus on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.; Card Captor Sakura on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.; Naruto on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 1.30 p.m.; The First Slam Dunk on Saturday from 1.40 p.m. to 3.50 p.m.; DAN DA DAN on Saturday from 5.30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; and The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes on Sunday from 1.15 p.m. to 3 p.m. All these screenings will be in the Platinum Suite, Room 3.

Two anime dub voice-actors from the Viz Media Sailor Moon will be appearing. They are Lauren Landa (pictured right), who voices Sailor Neptune and Debi Derryberry (pictured below left) who voices Diana.

According to the press release, Landa and Derryberry will appear on all three days, taking part in photo opportunities and autograph signings which can be purchased by ticket holders. They will also appear in a panel, "Sailor Moon Celebration at 12.05 p.m. on Saturday on the Centre Stage.

Landa's other voice roles include Annie Leonhart in Attack on Titan, Juno in BEASTARS, Tsukasa in TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You, May in Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE, Luviagelita Edelfelt in Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files: Rail Zeppelin Grace note, Merin in The Seven Deadly Sins, Kyouko in March comes in like a lion and Miho in ODDTAXI.

Debi Derryberry voiced Ryo-Ohki in Tenchi Universe and Tenchi in Tokyo. Her numerous roles in American cartoons include the title role in The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius.

Another voice-actor appearing at the event is Sarah Wiedenheft, whose dub roles include Tohru in Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Lily Hoshikawa in Zombie Land Saga, Kiyoko Kushida in Classroom of the Elite, Power in Chainsaw Man, Hakari Hanazono in The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You, Suika in Dr. Stone, Phos in Land of the Lustrous, Ruby Kurosawa in Love Live! Sunshine!!, Claimoh Everlasting in Sorcerous Stabber Orphen, Misaki Sawakiguchi in HYOUKA and Alus Ramus in The Devil Is a Part-Timer!

According to the press release, Wiedenfeht will appear on all three days of the event, taking part in photo opportunities and autograph signings. According to the press release, "She will also lead an interactive game session of Forget-Me-Not on Saturday, in which contestants will attempt to draw iconic characters from memory for the chance to win exciting prizes." The event is at 1.45 p.m. on the Live Stage.

Dante Basco will also be appearing. He is most famous for a non-anime role, the adversary character Prince Zuko in Nickelodon's series Avatar: The Last Airbender. His live-action roles include Rufio, the leader of The Lost Boys, in Steven Spielberg's 1991 film Hook. In anime, Basco voiced the main character Aiden in the 2021 ONA film Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild. In addition, he played the young thief Bat in the 1995 American-produced live-action film of Fist of the North Star

According to a press release, "Dante will be taking part in purchasable photo and autograph opportunities throughout the entire weekend, as well as a live Q&A spotlight on the Centre Stage at 12 p.m. on Sunday May 25 for Priority and Weekend Ticket holders. All panels are free for MCM ticket holders and some can be reserved here."
