New Bleach and Ghost in the Shell Screenings in UK and Ireland Cinemas From Friday

Screenings of the first three episodes of the final part of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War and the first two episodes of Science SARU's The Ghost in the Shell

There will be two new anime releases in UK cinemas on Friday June 26 - Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity and Science SARU's new The Ghost in the Shell television anime series.

The Bleach release consists of the three episodes of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity, the fourth and final part of the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime. The cinema screening will be in Japanese with subtitles, and venues and booking links are listed at https://bleachtickets.co.uk/.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity will debut in July 2026 on TV Tokyo and its affiliates.

The anime covers the rest of the original manga up through its ending. The Thousand Year Blood War arc is the final arc of the manga, and covers volumes 55-74.

Anime Limited previously confirmed on its X/Twitter feed that all of the cinema screenings will be English-dubbed.

The anime will debut in July on "Ka-Anival!!," Kansai TV and Fuji TV's new anime programming block that airs on Tuesday nights at 11:00 p.m.

Mokochan (storyboarder, key animator for DAN DA DAN, The Heike Story, Tatami Time Machine Blues) is making his directorial debut with the anime at Science SARU. Toh Enjoe (The Empire of Corpses novelist; Space Dandy, Godzilla Singular Point scripts) is both writing and overseeing the series scripts. Shūhei Handa (Little Witch Academia TV series, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Spriggan ONA) is designing the characters and also serving as chief animation director. Taisei Iwasaki (BELLE) is serving as music director, and is composing the music along with Ryō Konishi (Journal with Witch theme song) and Yuki Kanesaka (Dr. Stone).
