The staff for the television anime of Suisei's There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party, So I Tried Confessing to Her (Yūsha Party ni Kawaii Ko ga Itanode, Kokuhaku Shite Mita) light novel series and Kairi's manga adaptation announced on Saturday that production on a second season has been green-lit. The main cast will reprise their roles in the new season.

The series stars:
- Kōhei Amasaki as Yōki
- Kana Hanazawa as Cecilia
- Ryōhei Kimura as Yūga
- Yūko Natsuyoshi as Mikana
- Toshiki Masuda as Duke
- Minami Tanaka as Seek
- Iori Noguchi as Happiness
- Ayumu Murase as Raven
The anime credits Kairi's manga adaptation as the original work, instead of Suisei's text story directly.
Yasutaka Yamamoto (Medalist, Servant × Service) was the chief director of the first deason, and Tomonori Mine (Isekai Onsen Paradise) directed the season at Gekkō. Yukie Sugawara (Overlord, No Guns Life) both wrote and oversaw the series scripts. Mina Ōsawa (The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest, Reincarnated as the Daughter of the Legendary Hero and the Queen of Spirits) adapted illustrator La-na's character designs for animation. Satoru Kōsaki (BEASTARS, The Apothecary Diaries) and MONACA composed the music. Ryō Aizawa was the producer at Starry Cube.
The anime premiered on January 6 at 11:00 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX, and also aired on HBC, RKB Mainichi Broadcasting, AT-X, and BS11. Crunchyroll streamed the anime worldwide excluding Asia but including India and the Indian Subcontinent.
Suisei launched the series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō (Let's Become Novelists) website in 2013. Futabasha began publishing the manga in print with illustrations by La-na in October 2014, and published the third volume in August 2015.
Kairi launched the manga adaptation on Futabasha's Gaugau Monster website in 2021.
