Tokyopop Partners with Kinokuniya for BL Manga Exclusives for Ghoul Work, Kurose
Los Angeles, CA – TOKYOPOP announced that they will be partnering with retailer Kinokuniya to release a variant cover of creator takomacho's award-winning BL manga title, Ghoul Work, Kurose, Volume 1. The special edition of volume 1 will be available exclusively from Kinokuniya bookstores in North America and will include a bonus shikishi artboard illustration by takomacho (available while supplies last).
The winner of the Best Next Generation Award at the 2026 Chill Chill BL Awards, Ghoul Work, Kurose is a supernatural BL manga about Yuuma Kurose, a quiet high school student who can see spirits. After returning to his childhood town, he meets Kaito, a strangely devoted classmate who promises to protect him. As forgotten memories resurface, their growing connection draws them into a mystery about Yuuma's hauntings, their shared past, and a budding romance.
The trade paperback and Kinokuniya exclusive editions of Ghoul Work, Kurose, Volume 1 is expected to release November 17, 2026.
