Silver Spring, MD — May 20, 2025 – HanaCon is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated launch of its inaugural Anime, Art, and Asian Pop Culture Convention. This new fan-focused event brings together the vibrant creativity, cultural richness, and community spirit of fandom, all in the heart of the Baltimore-Washington metro area.

HanaCon 2025 will take place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the Silver Spring Civic Building at Veterans Plaza for a full day of immersive experiences, unforgettable guests, and non-stop fandom fun.

Ticket Types and Pricing
All prices are valid through June 6, 2025. Add $5 for at-the-door registration. Advance purchase is strongly encouraged to guarantee access and save on pricing.

• VIP Patron Badge – $75.00
  Includes all adult badge benefits, a VIP-only Maid Café session, and exclusive swag. Limited quantity available.
  
• Adult (18+) – $45.00
  Group discount: 15% off when purchasing 5 or more tickets.
  
• Continuing Education Badge – $40.00
  For college, trade school, or alternative education students. Proof of enrollment required.
  
• Public Servant Badge – $40.00
  Available for educators, healthcare workers, first responders, military personnel, veterans, nonprofit workers, and government employees. Proof required.
  
• Youth/Teen (13–17) – $30.00
  Must display youth/teen ribbon at all times. Adult required at registration.
  
• Group Youth/Teen (13–17) – $25.00
  For groups of 10 or more. Includes one free adult chaperone per 10 youth participants.
  
• Child (6–12) – $20.00
  Must be accompanied by an adult and wear a “Child” ribbon.
  
• Children 5 and Under – Free
  Must be accompanied by an adult and wear a “Child” ribbon.
