The Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game Prepares for a Legendary August

LOS ANGELES – (August 5, 2026) – Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. (KONAMI) is gearing up for a legendary month! At the start of August, new Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) Decks built around themes used by the legendary Duelists from Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V will be available in stores. A few weeks later, real-life legends will be made at the Yu-Gi-Oh! WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP in Ariake, Japan. In addition, a special booster set will be released to commemorate the event.

Legendary Decks are always a hit with Duelists, and the new ones that will release in early August are no exception! The Legendary Arc-V Decks feature themes used by three of the legendary Duelists from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V animated series. Like the Legendary Modern Decks that were released last March, this special Collector's Set contains three ready-to-play Decks built for casual and competitive Dueling. The first of the three Decks features Yuya's “Odd-Eyes” cards, allowing Duelists to carve the arc of victory and Pendulum Summon their way to the top of the competition. The second Deck features Celina's “Lunalight” cards (and one of the two Decks played in the finals of last year's Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME tournament at the Yu-Gi-Oh! WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP) and wins by performing Fusion Summons. The third Deck features Yugo's “Speedroid” cards, and quickly Synchro Summons monsters that it can use to take a speedy victory. 

Each of the three Decks contains 55 cards, including 1 Secret Rare card and 6 Ultra Rare cards. Those 55 cards are split between a 40-card Main Deck plus a 15-card Extra Deck. In addition, the Legendary Arc-V Decks contain a bonus pack that includes a 56^th card for each Deck. That 56^th card will be a Secret Rare upgrade for one of six possible cards in each Deck. Plus, there's a small chance that it'll be upgraded to a Starlight Rare card instead. Starlight Rares found in the Legendary Arc-V Decksuse the latest Starlight Rare technology (previously seen in Chaos Origins), allowing the cards to shine with a rainbow foil border and with colors in the art that are more vibrant than ever before.

There's also a lot more to look for in the Legendary Arc-V Decks. Each of the three Decks has one or more brand-new cards designed to strengthen the theme it's built around. The “Odd-Eyes” Deck includes a new “Odd-Eyes” Link Monster and a new “Odd-Eyes” Synchro Monster, both of which synergize with Pendulum Monsters. The “Lunalight” Deck includes a new Effect Monster that you can easily Special Summon from your hand and that can help set up Fusion Summons. Finally, the “Speedroid” Deck contains a new Level 4 Tuner that you can Special Summon from your hand by sending a “Speedroid” card from your Deck to your Graveyard. If it's sent from the field to the Graveyard, it also lets you add a “Speedroid” Spell or Trap Card from your Deck to your hand and then destroys a monster on the field if you control a “Clear Wing” monster. All of the new cards in the Legendary Arc-V Decks help to bring the featured themes to new competitive heights.

At the end of August, the world's best Duelists will gather in Ariake, Japan for the chance to compete for the title of Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME World Champion. Duelists around the globe prepare year-round for the opportunity to become World Champion, and the culmination of their efforts will be seen during the Final Match, which will be held at Tokyo Garden Theater on August 30, 2026! Alongside the prestigious Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG tournament, Ariake, Japan will also host the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Finals for Yu-Gi-Oh! MASTER DUEL, Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL LINKS (SPEED DUEL format), and Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL LINKS (RUSH DUEL format). Duelists will become legends at this year's Yu-Gi-Oh! WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, which will take place from August 28 through August 30.

Even though Japan will host this year's Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME tournament at the Yu-Gi-Oh! WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, the excitement and celebration will be a global phenomenon! One way players can join in the Yu-Gi-Oh! WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP festivities is by collecting cards from the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME LIMITED PACK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2026. This special pack features cards from the past year of Dueling that have helped players fight their way through to the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME tournament at the Yu-Gi-Oh! WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. The cards included in this pack have cemented their legacy as legends in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. This year's LIMITED PACK celebrating the Yu-Gi-Oh! WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 will feature several variant art versions of popular cards that will be drawn in a distinctive style inspired by Ukiyo-e. This art style depicting everyday life and the surrounding world was popular in Japan between the 17th and 19th centuries. The inclusion of cards in this art style in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME LIMITED PACK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 is an homage to this year's Yu-Gi-Oh! WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP host country of Japan.

This will be released during the Yu-Gi-Oh! WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP on August 29, 2026. It includes 21 cards in total. 20 of them are available as Ultra Rare and Secret Rare cards, and the 21st card is available as a Secret Rare or Starlight Rare. Some cards will also feature the Yu-Gi-Oh! WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 logo emblazoned on the text box! MSRP is $4.99 per pack, and each pack contains 4 cards.
