The band will play at Ambience Space in Bangkok, Thailand on August 14; at the AFA Indonesia convention in Jakarta, Indonesia on August 16; and at the Capitol Theatre in Singapore on August 19.

AFA Indonesia will take place at the Indonesian Convention Center in BSD City on August 15 and 16.

TOGENASHI TOGEARI is the main band of the Girls Band Cry franchise, and the franchise's only band and the focus of the franchise's story until it began announcing new bands for the upcoming Girls Band Cry First Riff game. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Rina playing the character Nina Iseri, guitarist Yuri playing the character Momoka Kawaragi, drummer Mirei playing the character Subaru Awa, keyboardist Natsu playing the character Tomo Ebizuka, and bassist Shuri playing the character Rupa.

The Girls Band Cry television anime premiered in April 2024 and aired for 13 episodes. Indonesia's Catchplay+ streaming service began streaming the anime in May 2024 with both Indonesian and English subtitles, making it the first service anywhere in the world to have English subtitles officially available for the anime. Thai distributor Cartoon Club announced in late June 2024 it would begin streaming the anime in July 2024, and that the anime will have a Thai dub, making the stream the first announced international dub for the title. Toei Animation released the anime in English digitally in North America in August 2024.

Toei Animation describes the anime:

The main character drops out of high school in her second year, and aims at entering a university while working alone in Tokyo. A girl is betrayed by her friends and doesn't know what to do. Another girl is abandoned by her parents, and tries to survive in the city by doing part-time jobs. This world lets us down all the time. Nothing goes as planned. But we want something that we can continue to like. We believe there's a place where we belong. That's why we sing.

The franchise also recently received a two-film compilation. The first film, Seishun Kyо̄sо̄kyoku, debuted in  October 2025. The second film — Naa, Mirai. — debuted in November 2025.

The franchise will have a brand-new anime film. A game titled Girls Band Cry First Riff is also in development. A separate game titled Momoka (o) Wasshoi (Momoka Heave-Ho) launched for PC via Steam in September 2025.
