Yumiko Igarashi provided the following message to share with readers:
“Hello, I'm Yumiko Igarashi. Georgie is a story I created by gathering the many different kinds of love surrounding her, like flower petals.

As you enjoy the story, I hope you'll also take a little moment to think about what kind of love you would like to give Georgie, or what kind of love you would like her to give you.

And to all of you readers who love Georgie so much, I love you!”
