I'm not usually the biggest fan of Economics 101 in the form of a fantasy novel, but Saving a Weapon Shop from Bankruptcy after the Demon King's Defeat, Volume 1, had everything, with one exception, going in the right direction. Everyone in town is freaking out as the defeat of the Demon King has destroyed every one of their primary industries. The town, which was almost entirely centered around adventurers fighting the Demon King and his minions, is set for immediate economic collapse.

Thankfully for Corio, the protagonist, his younger sister understands business better than he does. Although she is sick with something chronic and terminal, Eni develops a plan to save not only their weapons shop but also the fortunes of their fellow townspeople.

Overall, this was a pretty decent read. The women in the story are genuinely strong personalities (if a little light novel-tropey), and together with Corio, they come up with some clever plans. Most of the male characters are decent, with one gloaty, villainous tax collector to give us something to worry about. Even the art is pretty good: People look as they are described, which is always nice. The only negative is the soppy, slow-witted protagonist himself, Corio.

Even with a wet rag of an MC, this story was a pretty fast and entertaining read. I wouldn't object to reading more.
