Karaoke Manekineko's 1st Philippine Branch Opens in Spring 2027

Otaku in the Philippines' Greater Manila Area have something to look forward to early next year, as they'll soon be able to belt out their favorite anisong in a Japanese-style karaoke store in Manila. Karaoke Manekineko, one of Japan's largest karaoke chains, is set to open its first Philippine branch in Pasay City, Manila in spring 2027.
Details are sparse as to where exactly in Pasay it's going to open, but the press release describes the location characteristics as "located within a commercial area, primarily targeting business professionals." There are a few locations in the area that match that description, but SM Mall of Asia is perhaps the most likely (and accessible) candidate.
Koshidaka Holdings, the parent company of Karaoke Manekineko, actually made the announcement of its entry into the Philippine market and establishment of its Philippine subsidiary in February 2025. It's taken a while for the first Manekineko store to open, but we can hope it's worth the wait.
