Madoka Magica, Monogatari Series Collaborate on New Crossover Shorts

The Puella Magi Madoka Magica franchise and the Monogatari Series revealed a series of crossover shorts on Thursday. The 12-episode Mahō Dōjo Yotsugi☆Peace (Puella Magi Yotugi Peace) project celebrates the latest Madoka Magica film, Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Walpurgisnacht: Rising which opens on August 28. Monogatari series creator NisiOisin wrote the shorts, which start streaming in batches between August 20 and 23. The first three episodes are already available on the Aniplex YouTube channel:

These three episodes star Saori Hayami as Yotsugi Ononoki and Yuka Iguchi as Tsukihi Araragi. Toshikata Shinoda directed the shorts, and Yūki “youkiss” Ōkubo produced them. Akiya Lemonsour handled the character designs, illustrations, and Tsukihi Mahō Shōjo costume designs with art direction by Shū Horiuchi (.MP). The animation studio Ijige TOKYO was in charge of video production and overall production.
