San Diego FC Announces First MLS Club Partnership with Viz Media for Captain Tsubasa
SAN DIEGO (Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026) – San Diego FC (SDFC) today announced a new partnership with Viz Media, making SDFC the first Major League Soccer club to partner with Viz Media for Captain Tsubasa, the globally renowned soccer manga and anime series.
As part of the partnership, SDFC will celebrate Captain Tsubasa during its upcoming 2026 Baja Cup match against Club Tijuana on Sept. 16, giving fans the opportunity to experience the match with a special Captain Tsubasa Ticket Package.
The package includes a ticket to the Sept. 16 Baja Cup match along with an exclusive limited-edition Captain Tsubasa scarf, offering fans a unique way to celebrate the iconic soccer franchise while supporting SDFC.
