Scholastic's Graphix Imprint to Offer 5 New Titles Based on Osamu Tezuka's Manga
posted on by Anita Tai

Scholastic announced on Wednesday that it will release five new titles in partnership with Tezuka Productions under its Graphix imprint, and each one reimagines a manga by Osamu Tezuka.
The titles to be reimagined are Atomcat/Astro Cat, Princess Knight, The Three-eyed One, Triton of the Sea and Zero Man. Samuel Sattin will continue his role from Unico: Awakening as the writer for the new projects, in partnership with Japanese artists for the illustrations.
Scholastic previously launched Unico: Awakening (Unico: Mezame no Ohanashi), a new series based on Osamu Tezuka's Unico series, on August 6, 2024. The Gurihiru artist duo illustrated the series and Sattin wrote the story. The series will end with its eighth volume. Scholastic shipped the third volume on July 7.
The company removed all copies of Unico: Awakening sold at Scholastic Book Fairs in the district of Richmond County Schools in North Carolina in November 2024 following a complaint from a mother of a first-grade student at Mineral Springs Elementary.
