Ani-One Asia Licenses Tanya the Evil II, Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky, Victoria of Many Faces Anime

Ani-One Asia announced over the past three days that it has licensed the Saga of Tanya the Evil II, Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky, Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! 2, Victoria of Many Faces, and Saved by the Ice Cold Prince's Embrace anime, as well as the Tomb Raider King Korean animated series. Ani-One Asia will stream all these shows in July.

Saga of Tanya the Evil II (Yōjo Senki II), the second season based on author Carlo Zen and illustrator Shinobu Shinotsuki's light novel series, will debut in Japan on July 8. Ani-One Asia describes the anime:

Lieutenant Colonel Tanya von Degurechaff is appointed commander of the newly formed Salamander Kampfgruppe and is once again thrust into the heart of the brutal front lines. While the hastily assembled combat unit looks formidable on the surface, it is, in reality, nothing more than a ragtag group of misfits. To make matters worse, the Federation's winter has arrived far too early. The Empire is struggling, sinking deep into an inescapable quagmire. Every nation is clamoring for an overwhelming victory to bring an end to it all. However, no one realizes what they are truly wishing for, or what that outcome would actually entail. With no way to resist, Tanya continues to stand at the forefront of the upheaval.

The band MYTH&ROID returns to write, arrange, and perform the opening theme song "Why? RED induction." Similarly, the title character Tanya Degurechaff (as voiced by Aoi Yūki) is again performing the ending theme song "Weiter! Weiter!" with lyrics by hotaru, and music and arrangement by Masayuki Nakano (THE SPELLBOUND/BOOM BOOM SATELLITES). 

Like the first season, the second season is inspiring a "Yōjo Shenki 2" (The Shaga [sic] of Tanya the Evil 2) mini-anime. Each mini anime episode will run immediately after each Saga of Tanya the Evil II episode on AT-X, and then will stream on the Kadokawa Anime Channel on YouTube starting that Thursday at midnight JST for two weeks. The new mini anime will also feature the new members of the Salamander Kampfgruppe.

Takayuki Yamamoto

(episode director for My Hero Academia seasons 2 and 5, The Magical Girl and The Evil Lieutenant Used to Be Archenemies) is the new director (replacing first season's Yutaka Uemura) at returning Studio NuT. Kenta Ihara is returning to write and oversee the series scripts. Yuji Hosogoe is returning as both the character designer and the chief animation director.

The second season was announced in June 2021.

The first television anime adaptation of the novels premiered in January 2017. Ani-One Asia began streaming the anime last November. The anime also had a film that opened in Japan in February 2019, with a returning staff and cast. Neofilms screened the film in Hong Kong in June 2019.

The television anime of Nanigashi Shima and raemz's Love Unseen Beneath the Clear Night Sky (Tōmei na Yoru ni Kakeru Kimi to, Me ni Mienai Koi wo Shita) novel will debut in Japan on July 6.

At a welcome party he attended after being dragged along by his college dorm roommate, Ushio Narumi, Kakeru Sorano meets Yuuko Hayase and Koharu Fuyutsuki, who is blind. Though Kakeru had previously avoided getting deeply involved with others, the two begin spending more time together after he picks up Koharu's white cane during a lecture they both attend. Koharu cheerfully says, "I want to set off fireworks," and to Kakeru, she seems dazzlingly bright.

The anime stars:

• Miyu Irino as Kakeru Sorano, a shy college freshman who avoids social interaction
• Saori Hayami as Koharu Fuyutsuki, a blind girl who remains upbeat and positive no matter the challenge.

Joe Yoshizaki (The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows, Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- second season) is directing the anime at MAKARIA. Yūko Kakihara (Aikatsu Stars!, Blue Box, 2022 & 2024 Urusei Yatsura) is in charge of series scripts, and Yoshihiro Sawada (The Brilliant Healer's New Life in the Shadows) and Yūzuki Ishii are designing the characters. Harumi Fuuki (Lonely Castle in the Mirror, The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes films, Forest of Piano two seasons) is composing the music for the series. FRUITS ZIPPER idol group member Yui Sakurai performs the ending theme song "Hikari" (Light).

Bungo Stray Dogs Wan! 2, the second season anime based on Kanaineko's Bungo Stray Dogs: Wan! (Bungō Stray Dogs: Woof!) spinoff manga for the Bungo Stray Dogs franchise, will debut in Japan on July 2. Ani-One Asia describes the anime:

Yūdai Hanaoka (episode director for The Gorilla God's Go-To Girl) is the assistant director. Tōko Machida (Lucky Star, With You and the Rain, Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider) is overseeing the series scripts, replacing Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. Hiromi Daimi (episode animation director on Re:CREATORS, Dropkick on My Devil!) is returning to design the characters.

The television anime of writer Syuu and illustrator Nanna Fujimi's Victoria of Many Faces (Tefuda ga Ōme no Victoria) light novel series will debut in Japan on July 7.

Frontier Works is credited for the original work planning.

The light anime of Hokuhoku Yakiimo and Kusabi Kurokawa's Saved by the Ice Cold Prince's Embrace (Migawari Reijō o Sukutta no wa Reikoku Mujihi na Kōri no Ōji no Ai Deshita or literally, What Saved the Stand-In for the Aristocratic Daughter Was the Cold-Hearted, Cruel Ice Prince's Love) manga will debut in Japan on July 7.

As the illegitimate daughter of a count and his maid, Katrina was born into miserable circumstances. And now that she's lost her mother, the treatment from her stepsister and stepmother the countess has only grown worse. One day, her stepsister receives a royal order to move to the northern outskirts. There, she is to learn proper conduct under the tutelage of the resident prince, rumored to be a cruel man. Not wanting to subject her daughter to such punishment, the countess decides to send Katrina instead. Katrina arrives in the north shaking in fear. Yūsuke Morishita (I Want to Live a Long Life to Dote on My Favorite Stepbrother) is directing the anime at IMAGICA Infos and Imageworks Studio in collaboration with StainLab. Yoshiyuki Oguri is directing the sound at ASLEBEN, and Hiromune Kurahashi (Otonarium) is handling the sound effects. Kazuya Takahashi is coordinating production, and Yukino Kinoshita and Bay Bridge Studio designed the title logo.
